Well, we know now that Gran Turismo 6 is on the way, and now the Forza franchise is moving to catch up, with news this week of Forza Motorsport 5.
But, while GT6 will be launched initially with the existing PlayStation 3 (the PS4 is on the way), Forza Motorsport 5 will debut as a launch title for the new XBOX One, revealed today.
Microsoft and developer Turn 10 Studios announced the new Forza chapter today, releasing a new teaser video that focuses on a commentated race between the McLaren P1 and its predecessor, the F1.
Details are thin on the ground, but Turn 10 says Forza 5 has been "built from the ground up" to take advantage of the new XBOX One's next-generation technology, and to tighten integration with online services.
The debut of the new game, expected later this year, follows last year's Forza Horizon, which focused on an open-world festival setting for the car scene.
Specifications for the new XBox - the successor to the hugely successful 360 - include a 500gb hard drive, 8gb of RAM with a 64-bit architecture, and a built-in Blu-Ray drive.
Watch for more details to come at the E3 games expo in June.
