Ford Unveils Trio Of EcoSport Concepts At Sao Paulo Photo:

Ford’s design department has gone all-out on the EcoSport compact SUV, unveiling not one but three concepts at the Sao Paulo Motor Show.

Two of the concepts are linked under the theme “Beauty And The Beast”, with one called Beauty and the other, of course, called Beast.

But it’s the third concept - called ‘Storm’ - which will no doubt turn heads at Ford’s motor show stand as a ‘miniature’ version of Ford’s F-150 Raptor.

The Storm features a ‘blue storm’ paint finish, storm cloud graphics on the rear door and chunky 215/75 15-inch off-road tyres.

It’s also hard to miss the Raptor-style lower grille, with “Ford” spanning its entire width in large black letters.

The remaining pair was created by the South American arm of Ford’s design department to “highlight the contrast between luxury and sportiness”.

On the Beauty scale, there’s a matte metallic ‘copper stardust’ paint finish with graphics, a black roof, fog lamps and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the Beauty concept gets four ‘armchair-style’ individual leather seats with DVD screens in the front headrests, along with a central multimedia system with satellite navigation.

The Beast wears a ‘speed white’ paint finish with blue and orange highlights and a bonnet air intake, while also sporting fog lamps and 18-inch alloy wheels. The interior gets bike racks in place of the rear seats.

Ford says the trio are designed to showcase ways in which the EcoSport can be customised, but whether any of these options will ever find their way into the SUV’s options catalogue or not is unclear.
