Ford Teases New Track Car In Motorsport Heritage Video?

Ford has teased a new model featuring a ‘motorsport heritage’, due to be unveiled later this month.

In what appears to be the first of five teaser videos (above) leading up to the launch, the carmaker highlights its successes in racing over the years.

Various Ford people appear in the video - called “Ford Performance Heritage” - and, in case you miss the obvious point, mention the word “performance” several times.

The Ford representatives also mention how the ‘win on Sunday, sell on Monday’ dynamic of motorsport has changed over the years, with CEO Mark Fields saying image is important. 

"It's very important for us to have the street cred to be able to back up what you see in our vehicles in terms of performance, with actual results in how we do in racing around the world," Mr Fields said. 

"We can compete with anybody, and win."
