Ford’s rumoured successor to the famous GT40 and GT performance heroes may be a reality, if a leaked motor show diagram is to be believed.
Autospies has stumbled upon what it claims is a floorplan for this week’s Detroit Auto Show, outlining the placement of vehicles within the Ford stand.
A central stage containing what would likely be a feature car for the display can be seen, with the designated model (or more likely, concept) called “Phoenix”.
Phoenix - whatever it may be - is flanked by both a GT40 and a GT, strongly suggesting that a new GT model of some description is about to be previewed or unveiled.
Beyond the leaked diagram, rumours of a new GT have persisted for much of the near decade-long void since the last model was available.
