Ford Australia has responded to buyer feedback with a small (but crucial for the daily commute) tweak to the entry-level model in its Focus small car range.

The first change to the range since last October's range-wide refresh, the Focus Ambiente hatch and sedan models have now picked up cruise control as standard equipment.

Available from September, the update also includes the addition of lumbar support to both the Ambiente and Trend models.

The Ambiente remains otherwise unchanged, retaining its $20,290 Manufacturer's List Price in hatch and sedan form.

Standard equipment with the Ambiente already includes Ford SYNC infotainment, Bluetooth connectivity and powered side mirrors with integrated indicators.

The Ambiente is powered by Ford's 1.6 litre Ti-VCT four-cylinder petrol engine, mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
