Ford Fiesta Metal Limited Edition: 98kW Hotbox Bound For Australia

The new Fiesta ST might be a while away yet, but the local line-up just got a little hotter with the arrival of Ford's stealthy new Metal variant.

Limited to 250 cars and available only in three-door form, the Fiesta Metal offers 98kW and 160Nm of torque - up from the 89kW and 151Nm offered with the current Fiesta Zetec. 

Ford credits the boost to a re-tune of its 1.6 litre Duratec petrol engine, while a new air intake and wider exhaust piping and additional engine tuning allows an extra 300rpm in the rev range.

The Metal's styling tweaks include a Panther Black Metallic exterior and 17-inch black alloy wheels, along with twin chrome exhaust tips.

The black theme continues inside, with the dark treatment given to the centre stack bezel, air vent rings and door pulls. There's also black heated leather sports seats with silver contrast stitching, and leather trim to the gear shifter and handbrake. 

Sports alloy pedal covers are featured down below, along with stainless steel door scuff plates and unique floor mats with silver piping.
