For the first time since re-launching a Graduate Program in 2015, next year Ford Australia’s intake will include graduate designers.

They will join the rest of the design team in the styling studios in Broadmeadows, Victoria.

Others will be offered engineering roles in a variety of Ford Australia locations including the R&D Centre in Geelong and the proving ground at Lara. And those with a passion for sales and marketing will be heading to Ford Australia’s sales company in the inner Melbourne suburb of Richmond.

All-up in 2017 the Ford Australia Graduate Program is hiring 23 new members to work across the functions of Product Development, Marketing, Sales, Service and Finance.

“Ford is investing in local creative and technical talent to support our aggressive global product development investments that include key programs such as Ranger and Everest in Australia,” explained Ford Australia chief Graeme Whickman. “Our comprehensive two-year graduate development program is designed to build a graduate’s capability to prepare them for an exciting career with Ford.”

Think this all too far-fetched for you? Think again - the beautiful Ford GT supercar unveiled last year was designed by Todd Willing who came from Hobart, Tasmania who, along the way to Detroit and working with legendary Ford design chief J Mays, did some work on the original Ford Territory.
