Ford Australia has today launched its new myFord Capped Price Servicing (CPS) program, offering coverage up to six years or 105,000km after purchase. The service is available to all Ford vehicles built from 2007.

Like Nissan's six-year capped price service program, announced last year, Ford's myFord CPS offers buyers some certainty in what they can expect their vehicle's servicing to cost, no matter which dealer they use.

Owners of the current FG Falcon can now be assured that a minor logbook service (15,000, 30,000, 60,000, 75,000 or 105,000 km) at a Ford dealer will cost $255, including 12 months of myFord Roadside Assistance - which normally costs $90 on its own.

According to Ford Australia's General Manager for Customer Service, Stephen Kruk, the myFord CPS has been developed with the full cooperation of the company's dealer network.

"From the outset, it was designed to be transparent and easy to understand," Kruk said.

"Ford dealers use genuine Ford parts as part of the logbook service and only Ford dealers use Ford-designed diagnostic equipment, and have technicians who undertake training from Ford Motor Company specifically designed for Ford vehicles. All of this is designed to build certainty and trust."

The myFord CPS program also ensures that a record of all services are entered into Ford's database, so that dealers can retrieve service history information regardless of which dealer performed the service.

"This additional service means that even if you lose your service book, our Ford dealers will be able to access your service history if it has been completed in the Ford network," Kruk added.

"Imagine not having a full service history when it came to trade-in time? With our system, our customers - and any future Ford customer buying that vehicle - will have peace of mind that Ford has a log of the vehicle's service history."
