Dubbed 'Surf' (a name familiar to Toyota 4Runner fans), the concept will utilise an electric motor as its main source of motivation, while benefiting from the additional power and charge of a range-extending petrol engine.
Power and performance figures haven't been revealed, but the artwork shown here suggests the Surf will likely feature a fastback design with a sharp dropoff at the rear - not unlike the new Hyundai Veloster, or Honda's CR-X (and the new CR-Z).
"The Fisker Surf delivers a bold new twist and is sure to ‘wow’ global audiences with its combination of Uncompromised Responsible Luxury and head turning design," Fisker founder, and former BMW designer, Henrik Fisker said.

As for the oft-delayed Fisker Karma, customer deliveries finally kicked off in July this year, three years after its unveiling at the Detroit Motor Show.
Powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine and two electric motors, the Karma offers a total 300kW and an incredible 1300Nm of torque - more even than the Bugatti Veyron.
Fisker says the Karma will hit 100km/h in 5.8 seconds - not quite a supercar sprint - with a top speed of 201km/h.
