First McLaren Sports Series Model Spied Testing

In the first half of next year McLaren will launch a new family of sports cars, which will sit below the 650S and provide a more affordable (though by no means 'cheap') entrypoint to McLaren ownership.

This family has already been confirmed to bear the Sports Series moniker, though despite some reports to the contrary this won't be the name of the actual cars

Instead, the Sports Series models are expected to follow the McLaren 650S' nomenclature, with the number equating to the car's output in metric horsepower (PS). 

Three bodystyles are expected to be offered: the coupe seen here, a drop-top Spider version, and a fastbacked "GT" version.
