Fiat Viaggio Sedan Revealed

Dodge's all-new Dart shares its platfom with the Alfa Romeo Giulietta hatch, and now the American sedan has shared its body with parent company Fiat.
While the Viaggio will wear identical styling to the Dart through its midsection, the Fiat benefits from its own unique styling at the front and rear.
Separating the Viaggio from its Dart twin is its engine range, with power provided by a pair of Chinese-made 1.4 litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engines developing 90kW in base trim and 112kW for the up-spec variants.
In the US, the Dodge Dart will be offered with a 120kW 2.0 litre, a 137kW 2.4 litre, and Fiat's turbo-charged 120kW MultiAir 1.4 litre engine.
The Viaggio, Fiat's first China-exclusive model, will be built by local partner Guangzhou Auto in China, with initial production numbers set at around 140,000.
The Changsha-based plant has capacity for volume to increase to 250,000, suggesting that a wider global debut for the Viaggio could be on the cards.
Australia
With Fiat's Australian distribution about to come under the control of Chrysler Group Australia, a local debut could come down to little more than the availability of right-hand-drive models.
It is already known that Chrysler's local arm is pushing for the Viaggio's Dodge Dart stablemate to head to our shores as either a Dodge (if the brand stays here) or as a Chrysler.
With a front-end design better suited to 'badge engineering', we may even see the Viaggio here as a Chrysler rather than as a Fiat.
For now, however, neither car is available in right-hand-drive, and plans for a wider global launch have yet to be revealed.
