Fiat Ducato Recalled For Leaf Spring Fix

Fiat has launched a recall for its workhorse Ducato vans in Australia this week, due to a potential problem with the rear leaf springs.

The car maker says the rear springs may not conform to specifications, and may therefore compromise the Ducato’s handling.

Handling abilities below the best available for the Ducato could create a hazard for the vehicle occupants and other road users.

All 2014 FL Ducato variants are included in the recall, but only 15 examples are on the recall list for Australia.

The recall process will involve an inspection of the springs with repairs to be carried out, where necessary, at no cost to owners.

Fiat will attempt to contact affected owners shortly, but any owner wishing to learn more about the latest round of recalls should contact their local dealer.
