Fiat Chrysler Shuffles Senior Management In Australia

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Australia has announced that effective effective from August 1st, current CEO Pat Dougherty will become FCA’s Head of Aftersales for the Asia Pacific region.

Taking his place will be FCA UK’s Managing Director and Head of Jeep for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Steve Zanlunghi.

Mr Zanlunghi, an Australian national, first joined the Chrysler Corporation (as it was then known) in 1997 working in Chrysler’s Customer Centre before handling a number of senior executive positions across the US and Europe.

In 2012 Mr Zanlunghi was appointed Managing Director of FCA UK and Chairman of FCA Ireland overseeing a period of unprecedented growth for the company in the region.

In 2015 Mr Zanlunghi’s role was expanded to include the role of Head of Jeep Brand for Europe, Middle East and Africa, whilst still maintaining his UK and Irish market responsibilities.

Mr Zanlunghi’s porfolio in Australia will include the Fiat, Jeep, Chrysler, Alfa Romeo, Dodge, Fiat Professional, Abarth and Mopar brands.

Pat Dougherty has instituted and overseen a reshaping of FCA here, quietly addressing some of the key challenges for the brand here - in particular customer dissatisfaction with service delivery - bringing a renewed focus on customer service, dealer systems and parts back-up.

FCA now claims, Pat Dougherty told TMR, above a "90 percent fill rate", right around Australia, of commonly needed parts, panels and components (better than the industry average).
