Ferrari has dropped a few tantalising teasers for its Enzo-replacing 'F70' in recent months, but now the Italian superbrand has released the first preview of the final product.
This new image, which follows a front-end preview reportedly revealed to a private group earlier this month, offers a look at the halo car's slippery rear.
Like the Enzo before it, the focus of this new model is on speed and handling, with styling taking (a very close) second place to aerodynamics.
Shown here is a long rear deck/wing between the familiar round tail-lights and a low-set cabin. An image obtained earlier this month also revealed a spear-like face, built around large air-channeling intakes.
Known internally as the F70, the new model will feature a carbon-fibre tub, along with the F1-developed T1000 composite material in the doors.
Ferrari has already demonstrated the model’s revolutionary HY-KERS hybrid drivetrain, including a petrol V12 engine and a total output in the vicinity of 685kW.
Watch for more details on the new Ferrari in the coming weeks.
