In preparation for its 70th anniversary next year Ferrari is planning something special.
Of course the brand is no stranger to Special Editions, Limited Editions, and Bespoke Builds - not to mention the fact that very few of its supercars leave the factory without some form of personalisation.
This time around Ferrari is planning to offer a limited run of 70 vehicles from each of its five model lines to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the company.
At a private function held in Venice recently Ferrari’s marketing head revealed that the commemorative models were coming, with each of the brand’s current model range treated to a limited run of just 70 pieces each.
This is no standard special edition though, with each of the special edition cars described as “unique”, taking their influences from the 70 most iconic models of Ferrari’s past.
Although the changes won’t be revealed until the Paris Motor Show, expect that the 70th anniversary range will already be assigned to potential owners, with Ferrari’s special build projects usually snapped up before their official announcement.
From the entry level California T, to the mid-engined 488 GTB and 488 Spider, as well as the F12 Berlinetta and recently revealed GTC4 Lusso, the entire range will adopt the exterior and interior themes from Ferrari’s glorious past.
The personalisation will be completed by Ferrari’s in-house Tailor Made division, which offers bespoke touches on Ferrari’s existing range.
Although all 350 special editions won’t take to the Paris Motor Show stand (wouldn’t that be something to see!) expect a ‘highlights’ package to be revealed, with further info detailing the wider range to be announced.
