Ferrari's Enzo-replacing superhero, known for now as the F70, has been previewed at a private buyer preview event in China this week.

The image shown here, obtained by Chinese website Weibo, reveals a wide face with high-mounted headlights and a spear-like nose with large front intakes.

While little else is visible, it is clear that Ferrari's new halo model will - at the front end, at least - move away from the intense F1-inspired look of the Enzo.

The appearance this week of the F70 in China forms part of a series of already confirmed client events, but recent reports suggest the car's global unveiling will occur at next month's Detroit Auto Show.

Known internally as the F70, the new model will feature a carbon-fibre tub, along with the F1-developed T1000 composite material in the doors.

Ferrari has already demonstrated the model’s revolutionary HY-KERS hybrid drivetrain, including a petrol V12 engine and a total output in the vicinity of 685kW.
