The successor to Ferrari's Enzo hypercar is expected to get a private unveiling in Italy later this year. Now, new reports out of the US suggest a public debut will occur at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
According to US website Inside Line, Ferrari executives have quietly confirmed America's biggest motor show as the site of its new hero car's first appearance.
Known internally as the F70, the new model will feature a carbon-fibre tub, along with the F1-developed T1000 composite material in the doors.
Ferrari has already demonstrated the model’s revolutionary HY-KERS hybrid drivetrain.
Ferrari’s official demonstration-video champions the similarity of the system to the KERS unit found in Ferrari's F1 cars, which combined with the petrol V12 engine is expected to produce a Veryron-nudging 687kW.
