Design sketches that appear to preview the Ferrari Arya SP from almost every angle have found their way out of the patent office this week.
Chinese website Car News China has posted the sketches, causing much speculation as to which model - current or future - they represent.
While it’s possible that a future model may have been unearthed, the Arya SP seems the most likely scenario.
The Arya SP is a one-off design for Ferrari collector and wealthy petro-chemical magnate Cheerag Arya (hence the name).
Ferrari’s Special Projects (SP) division allows those with a sizeable enough bank account to command the design of their own Ferrari around the platform of an existing car.
Arya is part of the family-run JBF Industries and is CEO of JBF RAK, a joint-venture between JBF and the ruling family of the Ras Al Khaimah emirate in the UAE.
The Ferrari Arya SP will be the sixth model to come from the Special Projects division, with Eric Clapton’s Ferrari SP12 EC among the other creations.
