Ferrari has announced today that it will release the first images and details of its successor to the 599 GTB Fiorano later this month.

The Italian supercar company also said that, driven by its all-new V12 engine, the new car will be the most powerful series-production Ferrari ever offered.

Known internally as the F152, the new model will reportedly debut with the name F620 - or 620 for short.

It is believed that the new engine, confirmed earlier this week for a Geneva Motor Show unveiling, will list a 6.3 litre displacement and deliver a Lamborghini Aventador-rivalling 522kW (700hp).

The engine's size suggests it could also be an evolution of the 485kW 6.3 litre mill that powers the new Ferrari FF. The new model could also borrow the FF's 4RM all-wheel-drive system.

Keeping weight down will be a new alloy monocoque body, rather than the full carbon-fibre body expected for the Enzo replacement.
