EVO, “No Direct Successor”, But New Mid-Model SUV Basis For Hi-Po PHEV

At the Tokyo Motor Show, Mitsubishi Motors President Mr Tetsuro Aikawa today told TMR that “the dna of Evolution will not disappear”.

The Lancer Evolution however, the car that has become a collectible performance icon – as much for its robust engineering as its AWD savagery – is as dead as the dodo.

“There will be no direct successor of Evo,” Mr Aikawa said.
