European Car Of The Year: 2015 Shortlist Revealed

The 2015 European Car Of The Year (ECOTY) shortlist has been announced, with BMW taking pre-award honours by having four of its models recognised.

The 2 Series, 2 Series Active Tourer, X4 SUV and i8 electric sports car have all made the cut for the 2015 ECOTY award, while Mercedes-Benz and Nissan are also well represented with three nominations each.

In all, 33 models have made the shortlist at this stage, but as the list won’t be finalised until December 1, carmakers with new models imminent may yet make the cut.
