Eterniti Artemis Prototype Appears At Beijing Auto Show

British niche luxury brand Eterniti has rolled into Beijing this week with a new near-production prototype for its Artemis SUV. 

Formerly known as the Hemera (we suspect the similarity to 'haemorrhage' prompted the change), the Artemis has been given a makeover designed to separate it further from its Porsche progenitor.

Beginning as a Cayenne, the Artemis is dubbed as a super-SUV, adding an extra 100mm of legroom in the rear and drawing power from a 441kW version of the Porsche's 4.8 litre V8. 

With this ultra-luxury and high-power combination, Eterniti intends to take on the production version of the Bentley EXP 9 F, Maserati Kubang, and Lamborghini's Urus SUV.

Eterniti will beat both to market however, with production of the bespoke high-powered SUV to begin in the next few months, and order books open right now.

Pricing for the personalised and custom-trimmed Artemis can vary, but Eterniti says the car shown in Beijing this week would sell for around AU$328,000 before on-road costs.

Eterniti says it is in the process of establishing showrooms around the world, with its London headquarters due to open in July this year. 

Showrooms will follow in Taipei and Hong Kong, and a Tokyo branch will open in 2013.
