To introduce the new Mercedes-AMG C63 coupe, Mercedes-Benz is kicking the range off with an Edition 1 model that takes its inspiration from the 2016 DTM racing version of the same car.
Two design themes will adorn the new C63 coupe, with a more restrained appearance package featured on the C63 (which won’t be coming to Australia), while the C63 S wears a slightly more audacious package.
On the C63 S Edition 1, you’ll find matte-finish Designo Magno Selenite Grey paint, with contrasting gloss yellow stripes on the bonnet, boot and body sides.
Lightweight matte-black alloy wheels with yellow rim flanges in 9.0 x 19-inch front and 10.5 x 20-inch rear fitments are also part of the package - wrapped in 255/35 R 19 front and huge 285/30 R 20 rear rubber.
The standard C63 wears more restrained graphite-grey matte stripes, complemented by matte-black wheels with a high-gloss cross-spoke design. The full range of paint options is also available.
Ceramic high-performance compound brakes, and high-performance tyres are standard on the C63 S Edition 1, and can be optioned on the C63.
Both versions also wear the AMG Aerodynamics Package which includes a larger front spoiler, side skirts, airflow breakaway points on the rear bumper and bootlid spoiler, and a specially designed rear diffuser.
Also part of the Edition 1 modifications, the AMG Night Package which sees a gloss black finish applied to the front bumper ‘A-wing’, side sills, window trims, exterior mirrors, and tailpipe tips.
Inside there’s Nappa leather sports seats, finished with contrasting yellow diamond quilting. Yellow stitching also makes its way onto the steering wheel and door cards.
Beneath the bonnet beats the same 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 as the rest of the C63 range, producing 350kW in the C63 and 375kW in the C63 S, delivered to the rear wheels via a seven-speed multi-clutch transmission.
