Dodge has released a new $38,500 ‘Blacktop’ edition of its workhose Journey in Australia, adding a number of stealth styling tweaks to the large SUV.
Based on the range-topping $36,500 Journey R/T, the Blacktop Edition carries a $2000 premium and picks up a gloss black finish to the regular model’s 19-inch alloys, grille, headlight housings, fascia trim and side mirror caps.
Features already standard with the Journey R/T include leather seats (heated up front and with powered lumbar support for the driver), automatic headlights, keyless entry and keyless start.
Also standard with the R/T is an 8.4 inch touch display with Bluetooth/USB connectivity, satellite navigation and reversing camera, along with reversing sensors, six speakers with subwoofer and 368W amplifier, and a second 9.0 inch display with wireless headphones in the rear.
The Journey R/T is powered by Fiat Chrysler’s 3.6 litre Pentastar V6 petrol engine, producing 206kW and 342Nm of torque.
