British upstart David Brown Automotive has released three teaser images of its first-ever model, due to be unveiled in April.
The images hint at a 1960s Jaguar flavour, meaning fans of the ‘traditional’ British sports car are in for a treat.
Styling isn’t the only Jaguar trait, with the new sports car’s chassis to be based on the Jaguar XKR.
Power will come from Jaguar’s 5.0 litre supercharged petrol V8 making 376kW and 625Nm, with a six-speed automatic sending power to the rear wheels.
The as-yet unnamed model (still referred to as “Project Judi”) will hit 100km/h from rest in 4.6 seconds, on its way to a limited top speed of 248km/h.
Beyond the chassis and powertrain, the similarities with the XKR will end, with David Brown saying the car has a unique exterior and interior design.
“As reliability is vital, we chose to adopt a thoroughly proven and acclaimed chassis that not only delivers dynamic performance but also lends itself to our lightweight aluminium design,” Mr Brown said.
“[‘Project Judi’] has been developed using a combination of both traditional and contemporary technology, including the latest in automotive expertise. It has undergone a thorough analysis and development programme, including highly advanced wind tunnel and dynamic simulations.”
David Brown Automotive’s first model will be unveiled at the Top Marques Show in Monaco, on April 17.

Add all the photos posted, I'm guessing an Aston Martin DB5 with LED headlamps ( somewhat similar to new Mini ) and smaller new look grille. Fastback design is a lot sleeker than original flanked by a single circular tail lamps at both ends. Think Eagle Speedster, Segrave Jensen Interceptor and the like.
Is this the same David Brown who once owned Aston Martin and whose initials lend themselves to the 'DB' fame?
Yes, it's the very same
Only the name is the same, not the original David Brown who made tractors.
so what will it be nicknamed, "Davo", or "Brownie"?:D
