Dartz has unveiled its latest insane creation, which started out in life as a Mercedes-Benz GL-Class and became the Prombron Black Shark.
Opt for the Mercedes-AMG sourced V12 in its most powerful state of tune, and Dartz will wind the power dial all the way up to 1119kW.
So it’s powerful, but the 1000-plus kilowatt engine output ranks somewhere in the middle on a list of the Black Shark’s most impressive features.
The Black Shark is unlikely to be mistaken for any other car while sitting at the traffic lights, but any unwanted attention that the unique styling attracts can be ‘dealt with’ in an unusual way.
Dartz boss Leonard Yankelovich says the latest model offers ‘custom safety’ retracting door handles capable of ‘shocking’ Paparazzi photographers who get too close, while electro-chromatic privacy windows protect occupants from photographers with long lenses.
A Kevlar-titanium body offers B7-levels of blast protection, and the Shark’s grille can rotate to display either the Dartz badge or a logo of the owner’s choice.
And, if by chance a villain with a jemmy-bar managed to get past the door locks without getting zapped, they would then have to contend with the ‘Golden Eye’ fingerprint and retina scan technology.
“[The Black Shark] will be the dream of hundreds of tycoons," Mr Yankelovich said.
"Let's face it; you are bored of serial-made cars. We all are. Downsizing, eco-friendly recycled plastic materials and law regulations are making ways to stand out among the best in the car industry very inconvenient.”
If you were thinking of ordering a 2014 Dartz Prombron Black Shark as the ideal second car, we suggest you act fast as production will be limited to just five units.
