Citroen's DS3 hatchback is rumoured to be bound for next month's Paris Motor Show in convertible form, wearing a DS3 Airflow badge.
UK website AutoExpress claims that insiders at Citroen have confirmed the new model's coming, building on reports stretching back to early 2012.
The Airflow will reportedly feature a fabric roll-back or concertina-style roof, adopting an approach similar to the Fiat 500C.
Essentially a large sunroof, the roll-back design replaces the roof skin but leaves the major structural components - and crash protection - in place.
Most of the bodywork, including the doors and windows, will carry through unchanged. The design will also help to keep weight gain to a minimum.
Reports suggest the DS3 Airflow's engine range will include an 81kW 1.6 litre diesel (the Australian diesel is a 70kW 1.4 litre), along with the existing 115kW 1.6 litre petrol.
If these latest rumours are to be believed, watch for an unveiling in Paris next month.
