Caterham has been teasing silhouette images of a new concept on the side of its F1 cars for a few weeks, but now the cat is out of the bag.
It is believed the images surfaced on UK website Auto Express for a short while before the offending article was pulled.
The concept’s styling differs somewhat from the ‘traditional’ Seven look, with a fully enclosed front-end and bodywork surrounding the wheels from front to back.
There’s LED lighting for both front and rear, plenty of carbon-fibre in the two-seater open-topped interior and several styling influences from the Caterham F1 cars as well.
Controls appear to be of a minimalist nature, including a simple steering wheel and manual transmission, and the concept sits on road-going tyres.
Little else is known about the AeroSeven concept, but Caterham is due to showcase it to the public within hours, as the Singapore F1 Grand Prix weekend gets underway.
