One of racing’s most iconic team names is set to return to international motorsport: Brabham.

Under the banner ‘Project Brabham’ and led by Sir Jack's son David Brabham, the reborn team aims to kick off in the FIA World Endurance championship next season with a three-year LMP2 program.

From there, Brabham hopes to return as a constructor via LMP1 with “firm intentions” of winning the title for sports cars and the Le Mans 24-Hour.

The team says it will also consider the FIA Formula E championship, and the goal will be fully-realised upon a return to the pinnacle of world motorsport; Formula 1.

But the road to F1 and everything in between won’t be a ‘conventional’ one (if there is such a thing - Ed), as Project Brabham hopes to restart the team name via the increasingly-popular means of ‘crowd funding’.
