Bosch Previews The Autonomous Driving User Experience: Video

Bosch has showcased its vision of autonomous driving, with a video depicting a typical trip to the airport in the not-too-distant future. 

In the video (bottom of page), we meet ‘Phillip’ and his Tesla Model S, which is an ideal car in which to trial such technology due to its enormous central touchscreen.

The Model S attempts to predict Phillip’s intended destination based on past intelligence, before asking him to set an estimated timeframe for ‘manual’ and autonomous driving.

In this case, the driver controls the vehicle until it joins a motorway, and then advises the car that he would like it to take over with a precise dual-button, three second command.
