BMW will use this month’s Paris Motor Show to unveil several new ‘M Performance Accessories’ for its 1, 3 and 5 Series ranges.
The highlight of these will be a new ‘M Performance Power Kit’ for the 120d, 320d, and 520d - and Australian models could get the same option.
The kit includes revised ECU tuning and a larger intercooler to provide a healthy lift in outputs for the 2.0 litre turbodiesel from 135kW/379Nm to 147kW/420Nm.
BMW claims the kit can improve 0-100km/h acceleration by up to one second, without affecting fuel efficiency or CO2 emissions (on the EU cycle).
Also on display will be an expanded range of M Performance personalisation accessories, including carbon-finish mirror caps, wheel options, diffuser inserts and sill protectors.
