BMW X4 M40i Performance Model Leaked

Details and images of BMW’s powered-up X4 M SUV have leaked in the days leading up to the official unveiling, including specs on the turbocharged six-cylinder engine.

Enthusiast site Bimmertoday has posted the details, revealing the 3.0 litre engine will be good for 265kW and 465Nm - up around 40kW and 65Nm over the xDrive35i variant.

The model will wear the M40i badge, and rumours suggest the same engine could power the M2 coupe which is set to join the 2 Series range.
