BMW has unveiled a refreshed X1 SUV and a new interior design option for its Z4 roadster, with both expected to arrive in Australia in 2014.

Set to go on-sale in Europe during the Australian autumn, the refreshed X1 brings new exterior accents, minor interior updates and an improved BMW ConnectedDrive system.

Daytime running lights are now standard along with a new 17-inch alloy wheel design and BMW has added the option of Sparkling Brown metallic paint.

While the exterior remains the same, BMW Z4 buyers can now opt for a ‘Pure Fusion Design’ interior in 2014.

Pure Fusion Design brings a choice of exclusive interior colours, materials and stitching to the Z4’s interior, along with premium Nappa leather and sports seats in an ivory finish.

The dash also has an ivory finish, and the door panels, armrests, sun visors and passenger ‘pull-handle’ are finished in leather.

The centre console trim around the five round controls is finished in ‘Fineline’ wood.

Only Z4 buyers who opt for the Pure Fusion Design pack can choose to add the Sparkling Brown metallic paint finish to the options list, while the existing colour-range is also available.

Pricing and full specifications for the updated X1 and the Z4’s Pure Fusion Design pack are yet to be confirmed, as is an arrival date in Australian showrooms.
