BMW's 3 Series Coupe and Convertible have been given an equipment upgrade for 2012, keeping the E90-series variants competitive alongside their brand-new F30 Sedan stablemate.

The new standard features come with price adjustments across the range, with BMW claiming "added value" savings up to nearly $7500.

The entry-level 320d Coupe and Convertible variants cop a $3000 price increase, but the German carmaker says both cars offer $4210 in additional features over last year's standard equipment list.

Among the 320d's updated features are 17-inch "Star Spoke" alloy wheels, Comfort Access system, adaptive headlights, high-beam assist and the Navigation System Business package.

The price of the 325i variants remains unchanged at $80,850 and $94,600 respectively, but both gain 18-inch light alloy wheels, adaptive headlights, high-beam assist, anti-dazzle exterior mirrors and the Navigation Professional package. BMW says these extra features add $7280 in added value.

Moving up to the 330d, price for both Coupe and Convertible variants rises by $2000 to $97,600 and $110,700.

New standard features include 18-inch light alloy wheels, adaptive headlights, Harman Kardon sound system, anti-dazzle exterior mirrors and an upgrade to the Navigation Professional package. This all makes for $3970 in additional features, BMW says.

Topping the range is the 335i, offered in M Sport form only, prices have fallen by $5150 and $5300, down to $108,600 and $121,600 respectively.

Upgraded features for the top-shelf 335i M Sport variants include a Harman Kardon Sound system and anti-dazzle exterior mirrors.
