BMW M6 GT3 Takes To The Track In Australia – Video

BMW’s new M6 GT3 racer has been driven in anger for the first time on Australian soil, with BMW Team SRM completing a test session at Winton in Victoria.

Drivers Steven Richards and Max Twigg each took to the wheel during the two-day test, with the team declaring the outing was “successful”.

The test served as a shakedown for BMW, as the team looks ahead to a full season in the Australian GT Championship.

“Everything has gone unbelievably smoothly,” Richards said.

“The car, in terms of refinement, is just fantastic. We’ve really been able to come to terms with the layout of the cockpit, the way the dashboard works, reading the shift lights, things like that.”
