The M3 Pure is here again. The last special boosted BMW Australia's M3 sales by almost 10 percent, and that's all the reason this design pack needs for a comeback.

Following the release in 2010 of 100 Sedan and Coupe versions (that's 50 of each), BMW Australia has announced a further 50 of the Coupes - with a few new colours.

As with the original, the Pure Edition II picks up 19-inch black gloss double-spoke light alloy M wheels, wrapped in 245/35 rubber at the front and fat 265/35 bands at the back end.

Other carry-over bits include a bonnet air intake in black gloss, along with BMW Individual kidney grille, side gills and exhaust tips, all in dark chrome.

For the second go-round, the Pure also gets a range of new colour options, including Fire Orange (remember the M3 GTS?), Dakar Yellow II, Laguna Seca, Sepang Bronze and Imola Red.

Optioned separately for a regular M3 Coupe, the new colours add $10,000 to the price.

Mechanically, the Pure Edition II is unchanged from the regular M3, drawing power from a 309kW and 400Nm V8 engine and listing a 0-100km/h time of 4.8 seconds.

Pricing

Starting from $145,000 with a six-speed manual transmission as standard, 50 examples of the M3 Coupe Pure Edition II are available to order from March to July 2012 production.
