BMW first announced a flagship X7 SUV would be joining the range back in 2014, but until now hasn’t offered much more about the new addition to the range.

While BMW hasn’t offered any express information about how the new model will be positioned, the natural progression through the X range will see it positioned above the X5, as a competitor for seven seat SUVs like the Mercedes-Benz GLS and Audi Q7.

Now, as part of BMW’s annual media presentation the German luxury maker has offered a first look at the X7.

Draped in a sheet, but pictured alongside the rest of the range, the X7 promises to be BMW’s largest vehicle yet - although it’s worth noting that the images aren’t to scale.
