BMW Teases Z4 Zagato Roadster Ahead Of Pebble Beach Event

UPDATE: BMW and Zagato have released a first teaser for the new concept.

BMW will hook up with Italian coachbuilder Zagato for this week's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance for an all-new concept, the carmaker has confirmed.

The news follows the surprise unveiling earlier this year of the Z4 Zagato concept, which saw the interior of the current model wrapped in a new Italian-designed skin.

Teased by a shadowy image revealed today, it is clear that the new concept will bring a roadster look to the existing Z4 Zagato concept, true to the current Z4's intentions. 

The new teaser also puts to rest speculation that the two companies were planning a new take on the brand-new 6 Series Coupe, or the i8 hybrid coupe.

BMW says it will reveal more details on the new concept this week, ahead of the car's unveiling at California's Pebble Beach.
