BMW 9 Series – Vision Future Luxury Concept Considered For Production

The rumours surrounding a future top-shelf coupe from BMW under the ‘9 Series’ banner refuse to die, and reports out of Europe suggest the new model is still on the carmaker’s radar.

German magazine AutoZeitung has raised the issue again, saying BMW is giving the idea of a future production version of the Vision Future Luxury Concept serious consideration.

Unveiled at last year’s Beijing Auto Show, the Vision Future Luxury followed the Gran Lusso concept which also gave rise to a future 8 or 9 Series coupe from BMW.

The production version would reportedly be based on the next-generation Rolls-Royce Phantom with ‘suicide’ doors, and would target buyers in the US, the UK and the all-important Chinese market.

Parts of the Vision Future Luxury’s interior could also carry-over into a new 9 Series, including its four-seat layout.
