BMW has rolled out a pair of updated feature packages for Australian customers, adding new comfort, convenience and safety options to the 5 Series range.

The two packs, ‘Professional’ and ‘Exclusive’, range in cost from $900 to $3800, depending on the trim grade.

The more affordable of the two, the Professional package, is available with the 520i and 520d versions of the 5 Series Sedan, Gran Turismo and Touring wagon, along with the 528i Sedan.

Features with the Professional pack include Head-Up Display, Driving Assistant, Lane Change Warning System, Surround View and the ConnectedDrive Freedom infotainment system.

The Exclusive pack caters to the more powerful models in the 5 Series range, including the 535i Sedan, Gran Turismo and Touring, the 535d Sedan and the 530d Touring. The pack can also be had with the ActiveHybrid 5 sedan.

Features in the $3800 Exclusive pack include BMW Individual leather instrument panel, ‘Nappa’ leather upholstery, soft close function for doors, sunblinds for rear and rear side windows, automatic tailgate operation,  Driving Assistant Plus, Lane Change Warning System and ConnectedDrive Freedom.

BMW claims that, again depending on the specific model, the packs add up to between $5900 and $16,300 in additional value to each model if added as separate options.
