The topless model in BMW's new 4 Series range has surfaced online today, following the unveiling of its hardtop Coupe sibling earlier this year.

Published on enthusiast site worldscoop, these images offer a first official look at the 4 Series Convertible that first appeared as spy photos on TMR back in 2011.

As expected, the 4 Series Convertible carries styling largely identical to the Coupe. And, while it can't be seen in these leaked press shots, a metal folding roof will again feature.

Like the Coupe, the Convertible should be around 25mm longer and 45mm wider than its predecessor, and will ride on the same 50mm longer wheelbase that underpins the new Coupe.

Expect the 4 Series Convertible's features and engine options to mirror the Coupe's equipment list, including four-cylinder and six-cylinder turbo engines.

Watch for more details on the 4 Series Convertible to surface in the coming weeks - if not sooner.
