BMW will introduce a new addition to its family of history-inspired concepts when it unveils the 3.0 CSL Hommage at next week’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.
In its full racing trim, the 3.0 CSL earned the nickname ‘Batmobile’, and it’s that heavily bewinged design that has inspired the designers of the coming new 3.0 CSL Hommage concept.
This teaser illustration (top) reveals that we can expect to see the new BMW M4 coupe overhauled with huge fender flares that extend into a dramatic rear wing and LED lighting combo.
A hint of another wing can be see across the top of the rear window, and some amount of bulging bonnet and flaring can be seen toward the front.
Yes, this is one we don’t expect to see in production.
Watch for the 3.0 CSL Hommage concept to appear on May 22 at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este show in Italy.
