Bentley has revealed pricing for its updated Continental GT ahead of its Australian arrival towards the end of the year.

The order book for the 2016 model - officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March - is now open, with first deliveries scheduled for around October.

Prices start from $402,600 for the V8-powered GT Coupe, rising to $485,200 for the GT Speed Coupe with the W12 engine - plus on-road costs.

The Convertible model starts at $443,700 for the V8 GT, while the GT Speed Convertible W12 tops the range in Australia at a collosal $534,400 plus on-roads.

Prices have risen over the current model by between $10,200 and $12,000, but the extra money nets you more power from the flagship W12 engine along with updated styling.

The big 6.0 litre twin-turbo W12 engine sees power rise from 422kW to 434kW, while torque is up 20Nm to 720Nm.

The 4.0 litre V8 engine options are unchanged, with power remaining at 373kW/660Nm in the GT and 389kW/680Nm in the GT S.

Cosmetic changes include new bumpers at both ends, a new boot lid with a more pronounced lip, and, on V8 S and GT Speed models, a new rear diffuser.

There’s also new chrome badging for V8 S and W12 models along with new 20- and 21-inch wheel designs. Marlin Blue, Camel Gold and Jetstream Bright Blue paint colours have been added to the range.

In the cabin you’ll find new trim patterns, including a new ‘small diamond’ quilting design for the Mulliner Driving Specification.

New drive control switches are featured, there’s new dials and graphics in the instrument cluster, and a new optional sports steering wheel featuring larger gear shift paddles with knurled metal embellishments.

The 2016 Bentley Continental GT is available to order now.
