BBC Pursuing Model Jodie Kidd For Top Gear Top Job: Report

The BBC may be closing in on a deal to replace sacked Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson.

According to the UK’s Telegraph newspaper, ‘the Beeb’ is in talks with former model Jodie Kidd to take over Clarkson’s role as the long-running show’s lead presenter.

As a known motoring enthusiast, occasional race driver and the current co-host of British TV series The Classic Car Show, Kidd could prove a fitting replacement.

In 2003, she appeared on Top Gear as the ‘Celebrity Guest in a Reasonably Priced Car’, driving a record lap that bettered the top times of musician and noted revhead Jay Kay (by 0.3 seconds), and Clarkson himself.
