If 2014 was a big year for new car launches in Australia, the year ahead looks set to be downright colossal in comparison.

January and February alone will see nine new models make their way to Australian showrooms, ranging from light commuters to family haulers and high-powered performers.

The magic eight-ball is less clear on the months beyond, but TMR has compiled a list of what you can expect in 2015.

In January, variants in Kia’s updated Rio range will land, while Mazda’s updated CX-5 and the all-new BMW X6 will launch in the latter half of the month.

The diary explodes in February, with the new Renault Captur compact SUV and Hyundai Sonata sedan, refreshed Mazda6 sedan and wagon, and Lexus NX 200t all debuting in the first week.

A pair of compact passenger options will arrive in the following week, with the five-seat Citroen C4 Picasso hatch and Honda HR-V compact SUV both due.

It all comes to a head that same week, with the big and powerful new Lexus RC F Coupe due. The carmaker has lined up a media event at Mt Panorama, so keep an eye out for TMR’s review from the mountain.

And then?
