Audi Reveals New 3.0 V6 Turbo-Diesel Engine And S-tronic Transmission

Audi has unveiled its next-generation V6 3.0 litre TDI turbocharged diesel engine at the International Vienna Motor Symposium this week, offered with two power outputs.

The 90-degree V6 can soon be had in various Audi products with either 160kW or 200kW; up from 150kW and 180kW from the current generation 3.0 litre diesel engine.

Torque rounds out at 600Nm for the 200kW unit, and Audi says the new engine is up to 13 percent more fuel efficient than its predecessor, although official fuel figures are yet to be made available.
