Audi TT Offroad Concept Revealed At Beijing

Okay, so it's not quite the Q4 that many were expecting it to be, but it appears that Audi's Beijing showstopper could perhaps be something a little more significant - the first taste of a wholly different kind of Audi TT.

But before you TT fans close the tab in disgust, this high-riding four-door coupe/hatch thing won't be replacing the TT coupe and convertible any time soon.

Instead, according to Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, Member of the Board of Management for Technical Development at Audi, "the Audi TT offroad concept provides a glimpse of how we might imagine a new model in the future TT family."

And though the 21-inch wheels are typical show-car stuff, the rest of this concept doesn't look so far-fetched. Even the interior is realistic, being heavily based on the TT's cabin.
