Audi SQ5 plus Announced – 250kW Hi-Po SUV In Aus By Mid-2016

Audi has announced the imminent arrival of the SQ5 TDI plus, a turbodiesel performance SUV which turns the wick up on the regular SQ5 with its peak power and torque outputs of 250kW and 700Nm.

Due to hit German dealerships in October before arriving in Australia in the first half of 2016, the SQ5 plus has its 3.0 litre turbodiesel V6 tuned with a higher fuel injector pressure (and presumably more boost) to develop 20kW more power and 50Nm more torque.

To put those outputs into perspective, the SQ5 plus makes the same amount of torque as Audi's mighty RS 6 Avant - and it does so while returning an average fuel economy of 6.7 l/100km (European test cycle).
