Audi Sport Quattro Concept Gets A Driving Promo: Video

Is this new on-road video a hint that Audi's Sport Quattro concept is a preview of the carmaker's next production coupe?

Perhaps, but officially, this new video is merely a 'thank you' (or a 'danke') for hitting 100,000 fans on the Audi Facebook page.

Audi last taunted fans with the hope of a new sub-R8 model in 2010 when it celebrated the 30th anniversary of its legendary Ur-Quattro coupe.

The video also offers a good long listen to the concept's 411kW 4.0 litre turbocharged V8 engine - does it work for you, or would Audi's fan-favourite 2.5 litre five-cylinder engine be more your flavour? 

Either way, this concept's 3.7 second sprint to 100km/h, and 305km/h top speed, is nothing to scoff at. 

It's still unclear if Audi will put this new monster into production, but more than a few overseas reports have claimed the inside word on a green light.

We'll see.
