Audi’s performance division, Audi Sport, has announced a range of Performance Parts, designed to enhance the TT and R8 sports cars.
Initially, the Audi Sport Performance Parts range will be divided into four main groups covering interior, exterior, suspension, and exhaust systems with additional parts and across a wider range of models to be introduced later.
From launch, the TT, TTS, and TT RS parts will include coilover suspension kits, 20-inch black alloy wheels, upgraded sport brake pads for either steel brakes or the optional carbon ceramic brakes of the TT RS, rear crossmember reinforcement, and a titanium Akrapovic exhaust system.
The R8 can be upgraded via coilover suspension and 20-inch alloy wheels.
Both the TT and R8 will also be offered with a range of carbon fibre reinforced polymer aero kits with add-on parts applied to the front air inlets, side sills and diffuser, plus an available front splitter, front bumper flics, and a fixed rear wing.
More than just visual upgrades, the aero package can provide up to 250kg of downforce at 330km/h, an increase of around 100kg compared to the standard R8 - or a more realistic 52kg of downforce at 150 km/h. The TT is also available with a vented bonnet.
On the inside, the Audi Sport Performance Parts catalogue extends to carbon fibre reinforced polymer shift paddles (for S tronic automatic equipped vehicles), a sport contour steering wheel trimmed in Alcantara with a red 12 o’clock position marker, and for the TT a carbon fibre rear brace that takes the place of the rear seats and enhances torsional rigidity while reducing weight by 20kg.
Audi Australia has been contacted regarding Australian availability of the new accessory range and we’ll update this article with its response. You can check out the full range of Audi Sport Performance Parts in our gallery, below.
